FOLDING BODY FOR ROOF TERRACE, MODULAR BUILDING COMPRISING AT LEAST ONE FOLDING BODY AND MODULAR CONSTRUCTION COMPRISING AT LEAST TWO MODULAR BUILDINGS
The present invention relates to the field of railings, and relates in particular to a folding guardrail for roof terrace, a modular building comprising at least one folding railing and a modular construction comprising at least two modular buildings.
It is well known that, for safety reasons, all buildings with a flat roof of the "terrace" type must have guardrails for the safety of people who must move on the roof. It is also required that these railings are put in place vertically before these people go on the roof. Once in place vertically, guardrails must be blocked in both directions of movement for the safety of users.
In a planned use, guardrails are normally folded down and are only raised when people have to climb on the roof. Indeed, in the case of the transport of modular elements and in case of superposition of modular elements, it is imperative that the guardrails are in horizontal position.
The French patent application FR2993295 discloses articulated guardrails mounted on a rectangular frame, the articulated guardrails being configured to pivot from a so-called transport position where the guardrails are in planes parallel to the plane of the frame to a position said active where the railings are vertical to the frame, each railing comprising at least one amount comprising a locking finger which is housed in a notch of the anchor base of the railing fixed to the frame. However, the operator must lift the guard when he wants to fold to disengage the finger from the notch, which can be a difficult task for the operator when the latter is on the ground.
The present invention aims to solve the disadvantages of the prior art, by providing a folding guardrail for roof terrace that allows an operator to easily fold the guardrail without raising the guardrail beforehand.
The present invention also provides a modular building comprising at least one folding railing according to the present invention and a modular construction comprising at least two modular buildings according to the present invention.
The present invention therefore relates to a folding railing for a roof terrace comprising a barrier assembly comprising at least one cross member, and at least one frame integral with the barrier assembly, each base being rotatably connected to a respective anchor base configured to be fixed to the roof deck of a building, the railing being configured to adopt either a horizontal folded position, in which the guardrail is folded down on the roof deck, or a vertical extended position, in which the guard -body is deployed in a vertical operational plane and the barrier assembly acts as a railing in said operational plane, each base abutting against the corresponding anchoring base in the vertical deployed position to limit the railing stroke between its vertical deployed position and its horizontal folded position to one side of the use plane containing the raba position horizontal head, the folding railing further comprising a railing locking means in the vertical deployed position, characterized in that the locking means is constituted by a lever extending parallel to the at least one base, rotatably attached to at least one base according to an axis of rotation parallel to that of the at least one base relative to the corresponding anchor base, said lever carrying a hooking means configured to engage in the vertical deployed position with a complementary attachment means carried by the corresponding anchoring base, so that the lever automatically engages releasably with the corresponding anchoring base in the vertical deployed position.
Thus, the locking means automatically locks the railing in the vertical deployed position when the operator deploys the guardrail.
In addition, the operator can fold the railing by actuating the locking means towards the roof terrace of the building. It is thus not necessary to raise the railing beforehand to fold it down, which allows a ground operator to easily fold down the guardrail with a pole, the operation of folding the railing is thus easier and comfortable for the operator, insecure handling height is thus avoided.
It should be noted that the two axes of rotation of the base relative to the anchor base and the locking means relative to the base are distinct in order to create a lever effect to facilitate the engagement / disengagement of the means of blocking with the anchor base.
Such a folding railing can thus be disposed on the roofs of temporary or permanent buildings, including residential roofs, site facilities, modular buildings or storage solutions.
The different elements of the railing are preferably metallic.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, each anchoring base carries a hooking plate extending in a vertical plane perpendicular to the operational plane, the hooking means being constituted by a projection carried by the lever, the means of complementary snap being constituted by a notch carried by the hooking plate, the projection and the notch extending in the plane of the hooking plate, allowing attachment in the vertical deployed position, and a push stall of the lever to the horizontal folded position.
Thus, the protrusion of the lever makes it possible to block in rotation the railing when it is engaged with the complementary notch in the vertical deployed position, the rotation of the lever relative to the corresponding base making it possible to easily disengage the projection of the notch lever lever when the operator pushes the upper end of the lever towards the roof terrace.
According to a particular feature of the invention, each base is rotatably fixed on the corresponding anchoring base, so that the axis of rotation of the base is at the intersection of the horizontal plane and the operational plane and is carried by support means carried by the anchor base.
Thus, the guardrail can be folded / deployed by simultaneous rotation of each base relative to the associated anchor base.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, a return spring is fixed between the support means and the base to facilitate the placing in the vertical extended position of the guardrail.
Thus, the spring allows the operator to easily deploy the railing.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the support means are constituted by one of the attachment plate, a support plate parallel to the attachment plate, and the attachment plate and a support plate which sandwich the base.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the anchoring base comprises a vertical support plate perpendicular to the operational plane and on which the base is fixed in rotation, the lever being fixed to the base by a bolt and a nut, the nut being configured to abut against the support plate in the vertical deployed position.
Thus, when the operator deploys the railing, the nut abuts against the vertical support plate in the vertical extended position, which allows, once the protrusion of the rod is blocked, to block the guard. Body in both directions of rotation possible for the safety of users.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the lever is rotatably fixed to the base so that, in the vertical deployed position, the axis of rotation of the lever relative to the base is above the axis of rotation of the base relative to the anchor base and offset away from the anchor base relative to the axis of rotation of the base.
Thus, a lever effect is possible to facilitate the engagement / disengagement of the locking means with the anchor base.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the projection is formed on the lower edge of the lever, the notch being formed on the upper edge of the attachment plate.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the lever has a wider base than the base, extending beyond the edge of the associated base facing the anchoring base, on which base is formed a cleat disposed in the deployed vertical position, at the same level or higher than the axis of rotation of the lever relative to the base and offset towards the anchoring base, said cleat extending parallel to the axis of rotation of the lever relative to the base and being configured to come into contact with said associated leg edge facing the anchor base when the lever is actuated, to facilitate the passage of the guardrail in the folded position.
Thus, when the operator pushes the lever towards the roof terrace, the protrusion of the lever disengages from the complementary notch and the cleat comes into contact with the edge of the associated base opposite the anchor base, which allows to train the guardrail in the folded position.
According to a particular characteristic of the invention, the upper end of the lever (10) is enlarged to facilitate its actuation.
Thus, this allows the operator to easily fold the railing by pushing the upper end of the lever towards the roof terrace, for example with a pole if it is at the level of ground.
The present invention also relates to a modular building comprising at least one foldable railing according to the present invention, the anchoring base or bases are fixed at the inner edges of the roof terrace of the modular building, the at least one guard -Body can be folded / deployed by an operator on the ground using a pole.
Thus, during the transport of the modular building, the railing or guardrails are folded in horizontal position by the operator.
When the location of the modular building is fixed, the guardrail (s) are deployed by the user when persons have to climb onto the roof terrace of the modular building to ensure their safety.
The present invention further relates to a modular construction comprising at least two modular buildings according to the present invention juxtaposed and / or superimposed.
Thus, when two modular buildings are superimposed, or guardrail of the lower modular building are folded to allow the superposition of the two modular buildings.
To better illustrate the object of the present invention will be described below, by way of illustration and not limited to, a preferred embodiment, with reference to the accompanying drawings.
In these drawings: - Figure 1 is a perspective view of a modular building comprising railings according to the present invention; - Figure 2a is a first partial perspective view of the railing according to the present invention at its blocking means; - Figure 2b is a second partial perspective view of the railing according to the present invention at its blocking means; - Figure 3a is a partial side view of the railing according to the present invention at its blocking means when the guardrail is in the folded position; - Figure 3b is a partial side view of the railing according to the present invention at its blocking means when the guard is being deployed; and - Figure 3c is a partial side view of the railing according to the present invention at its blocking means when the railing is in the vertical deployed position.
Referring to Figure 1, it can be seen that there is shown a modular building 1 comprising folding railings 2 according to the present invention.
The modular building 1 comprises a rectangular floor 3, four uprights 4 rising from the four corners of the floor 3, and a rectangular roof terrace 5 whose four corners are respectively fixed to the four uprights 4, so that the modular building 1 has a rectangular parallelepiped shape allowing to easily juxtapose and / or overlay several modular buildings 1.
It should be noted that the modular building 1 could also have a cubic shape, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
The modular building 1 has been shown for better understanding without sidewalls, but could also include sidewalls without departing from the scope of the present invention. Thus, if the modular building 1 is intended to be used alone, it will have side walls on its four lateral faces, and if it is used juxtaposed with other similar modular buildings 1, then it will have side walls on all its sides. faces on which no other modular building is juxtaposed and may or may not include side walls on its faces on which is juxtaposed another modular building 1, depending on the overall interior architecture of the modular construction thus formed.
Six folding railings 2 are fixed on the inner edge of the roof deck 5 of the modular building 1, two per longitudinal side and one per transverse side, so that the entire roof terrace 5 is secured when the six folding railings 2 are in a vertical position.
Each railing 2 comprises, in the embodiment shown, two spaced apart and parallel uprights 6, each upright 6 being rotatably connected at the bottom of the base portion 6a to an anchoring base 7 fixed to the inner edge of the roof terrace 5 so that the railing 2 is configured to be positioned either in a horizontal folded position on the roof terrace 5, or in a vertical deployed position.
It should be noted that each guardrail 2 could also comprise a single upright 6 or at least three uprights 6, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
Each railing 2 further comprises a barrier assembly 8 attached to the two uprights 6 at their free ends, so that the barrier assembly 8, when the railing 2 is in the vertical deployed position, allows the safety of One or more persons moving on the roof deck 5. The barrier assembly 8 comprises, in the example shown, two parallel rails that prevent a person from falling when the railing 2 is in the deployed position. The barrier assembly 8 of one of the guardrails 2 comprises a door 8a at one of its edges to allow a person to enter the roof terrace 5 when all guardrails 2 are in position. vertical position.
It should be noted that, although in the example shown, the base 6a of the guardrail 2 is in alignment with the amount 6, the invention is not limited in this respect and a base 6a not aligned with the uprights 6 of the barrier assembly 8, or even a barrier assembly 8 without a stud, with only crosspieces and braces, is within the scope of the present invention.
Each railing 2 further comprises a locking means 9 of the guardrail 2 in the vertical extended position, which will be described in more detail below, the locking means 9 being rotatably connected to one of the two legs 6a. .
In Figure 1, the two guardrails 2 in the foreground (longitudinal side of the modular building 1) are shown in the horizontal folded position, the other four being shown in the vertical deployed position. Each railing 2 in the vertical deployed position can be lowered in the folded position on the roof terrace 5 by actuating its blocking means 9 towards the roof terrace 5 by an operator 0 with the aid of a pole 11.
During the transport of the modular building 1, the guardrails 2 are folded in horizontal position by the operator 0.
When the location of the modular building 1 is fixed, the railings 2 are deployed by the user 0 when people have to climb on the roof terrace 5 of the modular building 1, to ensure their safety.
The uprights 6, the anchoring bases 7 and the barrier assembly 8 of each railing 2 are preferably metallic.
Referring to Figures 2a and 2b, it can be seen that there is shown a railing 2 at its blocking means 9 when the railing 2 is in the vertical extended position.
The anchoring base 7 comprises a first vertical support plate 7a fixed on a metal section 12 installed on the inner edge of the roof terrace 5, the vertical support plate 7a being fixed to the metal section 12 by screwing and / or welding. It should be noted that the anchoring base 7 could also be fixed to the roof terrace 5 directly.
The anchoring base 7 further comprises a hooking plate 7b fixed perpendicularly to the vertical support plate 7a by welding, and a second vertical support plate 7c adjacent to the hooking plate 7b and fixed perpendicularly to the first plate vertical support 7a by welding. The anchor base end of the upright 6, that is to say the base 6a, is inserted between the attachment plate 7b and the second vertical plate 7c.
The base 6a is rotatably connected to the anchoring base 7 by means of a first bolt 13 on which is fixed a first nut 14, the first bolt 13 being inserted in facing holes formed in the base 6a, the hooking plate 7b and the second vertical plate 7c of the anchoring base 7.
Thus, the railing 2 can be folded / deployed by simultaneous rotation of the two uprights 6 relative to the anchoring bases 7 associated.
A spring 15 is disposed on the first bolt 13 between the second vertical plate 7c and the first nut 14, one end of the spring 15 being connected to the base 6a by locking in a hole 16 formed in the base 6a, and the other ends of the spring 15 being connected to the anchoring base 7, said spring 15 to facilitate the lifting of the folding railing 2.
It should be noted that the railing 2 may not include a spring 15, without departing from the scope of the present invention.
The locking means 9 is a lever 10 rotatably connected at its anchor base end 7 to the base 6a by means of a second bolt 17 on which is fixed a second nut 18, the second bolt 17 being inserted into facing holes formed in the lever 10 and the base 6a. The lever 10 extends parallel to the base 6a, its axis of rotation relative to the base 6a being parallel to the axis of rotation of the base 6a with respect to the anchoring base 7.
The lever 10 has an enlarged base 19, extending beyond the edge of the base 6a facing the vertical support plate 7a, on which is formed a projection 20 configured to releasably engage in the deployed position vertical railing 2, with a complementary notch 21 formed on the upper edge of the anchoring plate 7b of the anchoring base 7, the projection 20 and the notch 21 being formed in the plane of the plate of hanging 7b.
The enlarged base 19 further comprises a cleat 22 configured to come into contact with the edge of the base 6a facing the vertical support plate 7a when the lever 10 is actuated towards the roof terrace 5, to facilitate the passage of the guard. body 2 in the horizontal folded position, by a lever effect between the cleat 22 and the axis of rotation of the lever 10 relative to the base 6a.
Thus, the projection 20 of the lever 10 makes it possible to block the guardrail 2 when it is engaged with the complementary notch 21 in the vertical deployed position, the rotation of the lever 10 relative to the upright 6 to easily disengage the protrusion 20 of the notch 21 by leverage of the lever 10 when the operator O pushes the upper end of the lever 10 towards the roof terrace 5.
The lever 10 further comprises, at its end opposite the anchoring base 7, a plate 10a to facilitate the disengagement of the lever 10 with the anchoring base 7 by pushing the plate 10a by the operator O towards the roof terrace 5, for example using the pole 11.
When the operator O pushes the plate 10a of the lever 10 towards the roof terrace 5, the projection 20 of the lever 10 disengages from the complementary notch 21 and the stopper 22 comes into contact with the edge of the base 6a opposite the vertical support plate 7a, which allows to drive the guardrail 2 in the horizontal folded position.
It is thus not necessary to raise the guardrail 2 beforehand to fold it down, which allows the operator 0 on the ground to easily fold down the guardrail 2 with the help of the pole 11, the operation the folding of the guardrail 1 is thus easier and comfortable for the operator 0, insecure handling height is thus avoided.
It should be noted that the two axes of rotation of the base 6a with respect to the anchoring base 7 and the locking means 9 relative to the base 6a are distinct in order to create a lever effect to facilitate the engagement / disengaging the locking means 9 with the anchoring base 7.
A thrust washer 23 is disposed on the second bolt 17 between the base 6a and the second nut 18, said thrust washer 23 being configured to abut against the vertical free edge of the second vertical plate 7c in the vertical deployed position of the railing 2.
It should be noted that the guardrail 2 may not comprise a thrust washer 23, the nut 18 then serving directly as a stop against the vertical free edge of the second vertical plate 7c, without departing from the frame. the present invention.
Thus, when the operator 0 deploys the railing 2, the thrust washer 23 abuts against the second vertical plate 7c in the vertical deployed position, which allows, once the projection 20 of the rod 10 is blocked. in the complementary notch 21, to block the railing 2 in both directions of rotation possible for the safety of users, and ensures that the guardrail 2 can not tilt the opposite side to the horizontal folded position.
It should be noted that such a folding railing 2 could also be arranged on the roofs of temporary or permanent buildings, including residential roofs, site facilities, modular buildings or storage solutions.
The present invention further relates to a modular construction comprising at least two modular buildings 1 juxtaposed and / or superimposed.
Thus, when two modular buildings 1 are superimposed, the guardrails 2 of the lower modular building 1 are folded down to allow the superposition of the two modular buildings 1.
Figures 3a to 3c show the kinematics of the guardrail 2.
With reference to FIG. 3a, it can be seen that there is shown the railing 2 at its blocking means 9 when the railing 2 is in the folded position on the roof terrace 5.
The projection 20 of the lever 10 is not engaged with the complementary notch 21 of the anchor base 7, the base 6a is in the horizontal position and the guardrail 2 is in the horizontal folded position on the roof terrace 5.
Referring to Figure 3b, it can be seen that there is shown the guardrail 2 at its blocking means 9 when the railing 2 is being deployed. The operator O raises the railing 2 by raising the railing 2 in the direction opposite to the roof roof 5.
The base 6a is then rotated relative to the anchoring base 7 along the axis of the first bolt 13.
The lever 10 is rotated relative to the base 6a along the axis of the second bolt 17, the cleat 22 of the lever 10 being in abutment against the edge of the base 6a facing the vertical support plate 7a of the anchor base 7.
The projection 20 of the lever 10 is not yet engaged with the complementary notch 21 of the attachment plate 7b of the anchoring base 7.
Referring to Figure 3c, it can be seen that there is shown the guardrail 2 at its blocking means 9 when the railing 2 is in the vertical deployed position.
The projection 20 of the lever 10 is releasably engaged with the complementary notch 21 of the attachment plate 7b of the anchoring base 7 and the railing is thus locked in the vertical extended position, the thrust washer 23 being abutting against the second vertical plate 7c. The operator O can then fold down the railing 2 by pushing the plate 10a of the lever 10 towards the roof terrace 5 in order to disengage the lever 10 from the anchoring base 7, the cleat 22 then coming into contact with the base 6a, which causes the folding of the guardrail 2 on the terrace roof 5 by gravity.
